Four institutions in the region have signified their intent to join the health Consortium. These applications for membership are the product of the growing interest of the various agencies in health research. Likewise, this is due to the continuous promotion of health research and related activities of the Consortium.

The Cordillera Regional Health Research and Development Consortium (CRHRDC) conducted its first Governing Board Meeting for CY 2020 on February 13, 2020, at the Paragon Hotel and Suites, Otek St., Baguio City. During this meeting, the review of qualifications and approval of new applications for membership were discussed.

Upon evaluation by the governing board, the following institutions were approved to become members of the Consortium:

  1. Benguet General Hospital (BeGH);
  2. Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST);
  3. Apayao State College (ASC); and
  4. Conner District Hospital (CDH)

The health Consortium now has twenty-six (26) member institutions composed of HEIs, SUCs, line government agencies, hospitals, and private organizations.

Furthermore, Atty. Maro Cicero F. Domingo (OIC-Office of the Director), was formally introduced during the Governing Board Meeting. The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) – CAR currently holds the position of Chair and is represented by the head of the agency.
